DEATH, what is your thing?

This week alone, I know 3 persons who have passed on into the after-life, 2 personal friends who were told their cancer had spread to other organs, and 1 new friend who attempted to end her life!

Yes ---- when I was in primary school, I thought I would never live up to 50 years old. But now that I'm in my 50s, hey --- it seems like I have so many reasons to live......and no reason to die!

I know I'm not afraid of death. But I know that my fear lies in HOW am I going to die?

If it's a quickie --- ah! what a relief!
If it's a long-drawn affair and I need constant medical attention --- oh dear, better check my insurance!
If I have to suffer in anguish and pain --- oh no! Will I be able to be stoic and heroic on my death-bed?

Perhaps it's the uncertainty of the exact hour of departure and the fact that I have to go through this end of life's journey alone (I can't take anyone with me!Sigh!) that makes the "HOW am I going to die?" a mystery or a magical moment!
